What it means
Combine tools that measure different things (structure, a level, momentum, time) rather than several of the same kind.
In practice
No single tool is reliable enough to trade alone, so traders look for places where several agree: a higher-timeframe trend, a level, a pattern that shows rejection, and a sensible time of day. A trade with three good reasons behind it is easier to hold and easier to judge afterwards.
Writing the required reasons into a checklist turns confluence from a feeling into a rule.
What to watch for
RSI, stochastic and MACD all measure momentum, so three of them agreeing is one reason counted three times. Demanding too many conditions has its own cost: the perfect setup rarely appears and the trader starts bending the rules.
