In practice
The dealing range is the frame for a trade idea. Once its high and low are fixed, traders can find the midpoint, divide the range into premium and discount, and decide where an entry would make sense.
The range's own high and low are the outer targets. In an uptrend, the plan is usually to buy in the lower half and aim for the high.
What to watch for
Choosing the wrong swing points gives the wrong midpoint and the wrong idea of what is cheap or expensive. Use clear swings on the timeframe you trade, and redraw the range once price breaks out of it.
